Vaja sent me their i-Volution Top SP Holster for the iPod touch. As expected of any products from Vaja, the fit and finishing are exquisite. There are no stitching visible, no wrinkles around the corners, no ill-fitting edges. It's hard to believe the case is made of leather, but take a whiff of the case and all doubts are dispelled.

Vaja's packaging has gotten simpler. But what's more important is what's inside the packaging. 

The iPod touch fits snugly in the case. There's no need to worry about the iPod touch slipping out. The flip cover is stiff enough to offer adequate protection for the screen while you're carrying the iPod touch around in your pocket, or in your handbag.

When the cover is closed, you can still use the headphone socket. But you will need to flip the cover open when you want to synchronise the iPod touch. This is not a big deal for me, but some people prefer their cases to be totally unobtrusive.

What do I think of the case? I think Vaja's i-Volution series of cases are amazing. It is certainly a modern design and really pushes the envelope on how leather can be shaped and moulded to a device. Some people may prefer a more traditional design, and Vaja does offer that in a different series of cases.

This is a case that you would buy for the iPod touch, and chances are, it would be the last case you would buy for the iPod touch. Take myself as an example. I have Vaja's case for the Motorola RAZR V3i, and after more than a year, I have no intention of changing my cell phone or the case because the combination still looks great. That's the great thing about leather. It looks better with age. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed with Vaja's i-Volution SP Top Holster for the iPod touch as well.
