It's the era of mini laptop, UMPC, MID, cheaper laptop or whatever you named it! I'm so excited when Proporta delivered their Classic & Crystal case for EEE PC to my office.

This case is no difference to the light-weight yet economic crystal casing for most of the cell phone except it's larger, and that's exactly the first out-of-the-box impression!

Putting on the case is fairly easy, just make sure the latch is on its position, and gradually apply force to the other side until you hear "click"…

…and that's it!

The crystal case fits extremely well with the EEE. It maintains the slimness and keeps the spirit of being ultra-portable for the EEE, and none of the ports are blocked. The bottom piece of crystal case is filled with a series opening slots especially at the middle and the battery area, to release heat. In summary, I deeply appreciate the protective of the case, while most importantly it does not interferes the user from mobilizing the EEE as when it's without the case.

I'd enough experience of leather case for smaller gadgets but not for lappie. The Proporta Classic case was made of leather with visible lining, just slides in the EEE and you're done. Two difference sizes of slot are found at the top, I think that's pretty neat since my EEE has only 4GB SSD, I'll need more SDHC card later to expand the memory.

The Classic case does not give as many protections as the Crystal case, instead, it gives an organizer appearance to the EEE though, those who loves organizer would adopt it pretty well.

The color of the leather fits the personality of the white EEE I have! Proporta had the Classic case in black too but that's the only alternative color they offer!

The Porprota Crystal case and Classic case are priced at $29.95 and $48.95 respectively. Both are actually very nice case, my preferences are more on the ease of use and sleekness, there goes to Crystal case as my first choice!
