The XDA II Mini's are everywhere nowadays. One of the best ways to customise and protect your expensive gadget is of course a stylish case. The Capdase Bifold leather case is such a case for this purpose.
Design
There are a few things that make this leather case special. In this case (pun intended!), it's the design of the holder which consists of 3 plastic clips that hug your mini. Most leather cases would require you to slide your mini into a leather cutout, however this case retains the sexy look of your mini. Admit it, thats why you bought it right?
The 3 clips hold the mini very securely. There is no movement at all after you clip the mini in place. To insert the Mini, you place one side in and then click the other side into place. Very secure indeed.
Case Opened
The following are a series of pictures at all angles of the open case.
Front view. The leather workmanship is very good which retains the small footprint of the Mini.
Side Angle view
Top view
As you can see the case opens up like a book which gives complete access to the mini. The case folds back completely so you can still hold it to your ear while answering calls. At first it may seem a bit awkward to place it to your ear, but when folded back, the case is quite comfortable to hold.
Case Closed
Front view of case
The back reveals two round cutouts which correspont to the camera and mirror/back speaker. This enable you to take picures without having to remove the case. Note there is no belt clip for this case.
Side view
Bottom view. The sync cable can easily be attached to allow active sync and charging while the mini is cased.
Topside view. Once again, the leather case opens and closes like a book.
The case is held closed securely by a magnetic clasp. The clasp locks in easily and securely.
Other special features
In the spine of the case, there is a nice cutout for you to place your stylus. This is very handy as you won't have to dig out the stylus from the side of your mini. In addition you can use a bigger or longer stylus as the mini stylus is ...well quite mini too.
Ahh yes, another essential item, a name card holder which is hidden away in the cover. The name card holder takes all standard sized namecards comfortably. I found that the other flip top cases could not fit in my name cards easily. A very useful item indeed.
Lastly, there are 2 nifly cutouts for your SD/MMC cards. These are made of elastic material which grip the memory cards very securely. Again a very useful feature if you have to carry a few memory cards around.
I rest my case
So in conclusion, there are four special features of this case that sets it apart from other leather cases. Definitely worth considering if you are planning to buy a leather case for your XDA II Mini.
